We are looking for a skilled and experienced e - commerce specialist to oversee the development of fashion e-commerce stores on the Shopify and Shopify plus platform. This role requires in-depth knowledge of the Shopify and Shopify plus platforms, including its customisation, development of custom features, and integration with other systems, apps and services. Ideal candidate will have prior experience in project management, e-commerce, and a passion for the fashion industry

Responsibilities:

  • Develop project plans for the creation and launch of fashion e-commerce stores on Shopify. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Collaborate with teams of designers, marketers, and analysts to implement comprehensive changes.
  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects. Serve as the primary point of contact for project-related communication.
  • Utilise in-depth knowledge of the Shopify platform to guide development and customisation efforts, ensuring best practices are followed.
  • Oversee all aspects of quality control, from design consistency to functional testing, ensuring a high-quality user experience.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including clients, team members, and senior management.
  •  Stay informed about the latest trends in e-commerce and fashion retail to suggest innovative features and improvements, providing regular updates on project progress.
  • Create and customise Shopify stores according to client requirements with the dev team.
  • Integrate and configure third-party apps and plugins to extend store functionality.
  • Develop and optimise the user interface to ensure the best user experience, including responsive design for mobile devices.
  • Manage the team to provide technical support and maintenance for existing Shopify stores, including updates and troubleshooting. Identify potential risks and devise contingency plans to mitigate them.

Qualifications:

  • Understanding of design principles, experience with responsive design.
  • Understanding the principles of UX/UI to increase conversion on e-commerce stores.
  • Ability to analyse client requirements and propose effective solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with various stakeholders and the ability to work in a team. 
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to overcoming challenges.
  • Exceptional organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, adhering to deadlines. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Web Design or another relevant field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in Shopify and/or project management, preferably in e-commerce or fashion retail.
  • Proven experience in managing Shopify and/or Shopify plus store projects, with a strong understanding of the platform's capabilities and limitations.
