Strategic Technology Partner Manager

As a Strategic Partner Manager at Primark, you will play a pivotal role in driving global value-adding strategic partnerships that unlock opportunities for Primark beyond traditional avenues. Working between Ireland and the UK, and reporting to the Head of Strategic Technology Partnerships, you will be responsible for fostering efficient and value-driven relationships with global partners, focusing on one major strategic partner, influencing internal stakeholders, and ensuring maximum value extraction from those partnerships.

What You'll Do:
In your role, you'll collaborate with different people across a range of skillsets. Here's a flavour of your day-to-day:

Strategy & Policy:
  • Contribute to and execute the Strategic Partnerships strategy, leveraging market insights and expertise.
  • Conduct regular market reviews to inform strategic decisions, monitor partner performance, and identify market trends.
  • Collaborate with Primark Technology leadership to identify areas of technology capability overlap and duplication.
Value Creation:
  • Drive value creation with strategic partners by fostering global relationships and identifying synergistic opportunities.
  • Collaborate with partners to enhance the Primark colleague and customer experience through innovative solutions.
Relationship Management:
  • Establish and maintain a collaborative framework with partner and internal stakeholders to achieve common goals.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and alignment of expectations.
Commercial & Performance Management:
  • Design and implement performance frameworks for partners and ensure clear success factors.
  • Mitigate commercial and financial risks associated with partner relationships.
  • Manage and monitor demand and capacity.
  • Manage the governance processes
Contract Management:
  • Provide oversight for commercial relationships with all Primark Technology partners.
  • Ensure contract provisions support effective partner management and protect Primark's interests.
  • Address service disputes and ensure compliance with partner contracts.
Leadership:
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Share an engaging vision with the team, inspiring commitment, and enthusiasm.

What You'll Bring
Here at Primark, we want everyone to feel valued - so please bring your authentic self to work, of course with some other key experience and abilities for this role in particular:
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Technology Management, or related field (master's degree preferred).
  • Proven experience in strategic partnership management, preferably in a technology-focused environment.
  • Strong understanding of commercial principles, contract management, and IT asset management.
  • Proven track record of contract tendering and negotiations, and advanced partner management experience.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices. Experience with Agile and traditional project management frameworks is desirable.
  • Excellent leader and trusted advisor with extensive experience of developing senior business relationships and shaping and underpinning business strategies.
