What is the Role of a Sales Assistant?

You must be knowledgeable of the store layout, inventory and company policies in order to provide accurate information to customers. You will be responsible in helping locate products for customers, describing the use and information of products, process order packaging, keep the sales floor organized and stocked. You are the face of the store and must uphold company values both in the way you express yourself physically and verbally. You will maintain a focus on customer satisfaction with a foundational knowledge of the business and the applications and uses of the products and merchandise.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• Native or professional French speaker
• Native or professional English speaker
• Professional appearance and behaviour
• Proven experience in sales, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills 
• Analytical mindset with the ability to make data-driven decisions
• Excellent Organizational and time skills

Responsibilities:

• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service
• Maintain outstanding store condition and visual merchandising standards 
• Assist in maintaining a full stocked floor
• Recommend and display products that match customer needs
• Welcome & Greet customers
• Manage point-of-sale processes 
• Assist in receiving new shipments
• Keep up to date with product information
• Accurate describe product features and benefits
• Follow and enforce all company policies and procedures
