Job Details

You will play a fundamental role in the development of Print collections of the brand. You will support the Print team in interpreting and producing samples based on the indications from the Design Office and will collaborate closely with other departments such as Raw Materials Research and Purchasing and Pattern Making.

How you will contribute (key accountabilities)
  • Handle several product category to guarantee the right fitting of the prints:
    • Understand volume and fitting required from designer input;
    • Translate into technical file the designer expectation for each garment;
    • After fitting, make all necessary comments and amendments to get right revised samples from supplier;
    • After size set, fix all the grading and detail proportion in the measurement chart, to ensure wearability and the look expected from the designer;
    • Look after finishing quality;
  • Brief the Pattern Making Department on inputs from the Design Office
  • Management of print funds together with the Design Office's Fabrics department
  • Ensure that the agreed timing for the collection development is respected, staying constantly in touch with printing companies in order to have the right samples on time
  • Create line sheets on the system
  • Monitor files containing fitting and collection information
  • Qualitative and durability tests each print base for sample productions in the ongoing development phase
  • Construct files for pre-cost and cost information for every kind of fabric
  • Constant scout for suppliers and printing companies
  • Follow VIP, PR and special requests in terms of product and database
  • Managing flows with printing companies to ensure timely fabric delivery for prototype and sample deliveries
  • Maintain ongoing relationships with departments responsible for prototyping
  • Ship prototypes and collections
  • Re-launch for the showroom
  • Assist in monitoring and assisting the implementation and coordination of the product development calendar
  • Assist in updating the seasonal range plan
  • Assist in all product development, including fittings, f-t-s
  • Assist in producing swatch books and other cross-production resources.
  • Constantly assisting in monitoring the style-launch progress, and then the sample production progress
  • Compile the Sketches folders and keeping all resources up to date


Things That Should Be in Your Background
  • Strong knowledge of printing techniques
  • Strong understanding of the various types of printing bases and fabrics
  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably working on the development of MRTW collections
  • Understanding of various printing bases and the corresponding techniques that can be applied.
  • Willingness to travel in Italy and abroad from time to time
  • Fluent in Italian and English, both written and spoken
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships
  • Excellent organization skills with the ability to adapt to variable workload and meet concrete deadlines
  • Ability to use Photoshop and Microsoft Office
