What You'll Do:
In your role, you'll collaborate with different people across a range of skillsets. Here's a flavour of your day-to-day:
Sales and Commercial Focus - Maximising sales, opportunities, and performance
- Select products that will deliver the company targets for sales, margins, profit contribution, stock turn and SPV each season and financial year
- Continually assess product range with key competitors to compare price, quality and value
- Financial Range Planning / WSSI (Weekly Sales and Stock Information)
- Achieve stock turn targets to maximise overall contribution.
- Take appropriate action in-season with repeat orders, cancellations and rescheduling of orders to maximise sales and profitability within the company trading ethos.
- Ensure prompt delivery of merchandise and correct phasing of intake to meet sales.
- Monitor, report and react to product sales performance.
Range - Identify and develop key styling, colour palette and range content
- Responsible for interpreting fashion trends and translating them into commercial products.
- Use of trade fairs, WGSN, magazines and other fashion publications to identify up and coming trends relevant to the market and season
- Undertake regular competition shopping in the UK and abroad to source new ideas and monitor competitor ranges
- Gain an understanding of Primark's customer base and develop new product appropriate to the Primark Market

- 4 years buying experience within fashion sector
- Strong Range Building and Selection Skills
- Proven track record in effective negotiation
