A rare opportunity exists for an outstanding Finance Manager Europe & UK, to join our team in Paris, Head Office for a permanent full-time contract (CDI).
As our Finance Manager Europe & UK, you will be responsible for managing the P&L and Balance Sheet for all UK and European regions. Maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements while also providing commercial support to internal stakeholders.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Management
- Recruit and develop a local EU accounting team (under the strategic direction of Zimm HQ)
- Provide daily management and support to the local accounting team (includes accounting, tax, AR, AP and payroll)
- Oversee the development and ongoing training needs of the local accounting team Proactively identify and address process improvement opportunities
Month End (UK & EU)
- Drive the accurate completion of month end close in line with agreed timelines
- Review monthly P&L’s and provide commentary on key variances to budget / forecast Update monthly P&L forecasts
- Oversee the completion of monthly balance sheet reconciliations
- Prepare key stakeholder reports as required Liaise with internal stakeholders as required
Year End Procedures (UK & EU)
- Oversee the year end audit and corporate tax processes of local subsidiaries as required
- Preparation of year end statutory accounts for local subsidiaries as required
Budget Preparation (UK & EU)
- Oversee the preparation of annual budgets for all assigned geographies
3 Year Plan
- Support the CFO during the yearly 3 year business plan process as required
Commercial Support
- Provide commercial support to the EU President, including but not limited to such activities as new store evaluation models and forecasting activities
- Imbed financial acumen into the local practices
Property (UK & EU)
- Interpret property leases & maintain the key terms schedule
- Prepare accounting leasing schedules as required Approval of monthly rental invoices
Indirect Taxes (UK & EU)
- Work with the Global Tax Manager to ensure that all indirect tax returns across assigned geographies are completed in a timely and accurate manner
- Work with the Global Tax Manager to ensure compliance with local regulations and adherence to all reporting deadlines across assigned geographies
- Research and understand the local tax and accounting requirements of all new geographies
- Liaise with external agencies and support providers as required
- Streamline and automate processes to reduce administrative burden of compliance tasks
Ad hoc
- Deal with external accountants as required
- Assist CFO, Financial Director & Senior Management team as directed
SKILLS & SPECIFICATIONS
- You are a qualified CA/ CPA
- You have between 5 and 7 years' experience, including a first successful experience in a similar international environment
- You have already managed a team
- You are fluent in French and English
- Rigour and organisation are essential for this position
- Excellent interpersonal skills are required for coordination with all departments and markets.
- Previous experience in the retail sector would be a plus.
